My "aha" moment...

No cards or other fun things to post, but...when I was in the shower (why do all my "aha" moments come in the middle of the night or in the shower?) I thought about this:

Since moving to northern Virginia, I have made some new good friends. First, Tracy (a Jersey girl http://suzyscrapbooker.blogspot.com/ & http://smallsmackerels.blogspot.com/). I started reading (and loving) the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich (both Jersey girls).
Then Mary (no blog; a Jersey girl). Then my dh (who was born in NJ) took me to a book signing to meet my favorite author, Sharon Kay Penman (Jersey girl). Then I met Jean(http://prettykittydogmoonjewelry.blogspot.com/; from NY...close enough to Jersey, right?). Then Lauren (Jersey girl; http://llaurenb.blogspot.com/).

Are you sensing a pattern here? Or maybe I just need to get more sleep...

If you are from Jersey, please comment. If not, it really isn't your fault. Don't feel bad, leave a comment anyway. If you are not reading this, you are not obligated to leave a comment.

NEW JERSEY RUUUUUUUUULES! (i must admit however June I was born in NY - which also rules btw- then we moved to NJ when i was just about 8)
yes NJ is wonderful. before i married Joe he came up to NJ with me and I guess we were going to set up things for the tuxedos for the wedding. We were in Morristown (those who know the green will agree its so pretty) and he said I dont know why people make jokes about NJ - it's beautiful. And he was soooooooo right!

I have to say that "my song wth Jim"--although he might not know this, is "Jersey Girl" by Bruce Springsteen. Our first real date, on the way back from the 4th f July Mets game in 85, that was playing in the car, and I have loved it ever since.

so what do you think of that?

I'm from Jersey, but have been in Colorado for 30 years now. Still have major good memories from my days back there. Dad and brother and best friend still live there so I go visit at least once a year (more often when I can). Don't know why showers and the middle of the night are the aha moments, but it sure seems to be true! Get my best ideas then!
