Thank you, Grandma!
When I purchased my 6x6 pad of BasicGrey Nook & Pantry, I knew I wanted to use it to make cards for my grandmothers. Last Friday two twin size quilts arrived in the mail for Julia and Kathryn. My grandma has made each of her grandchildren (12 total) a quilt when we each married and then a baby quilt for each of her great-grandchildren (10), then a quilt for each great-grandchild. Here are J&Ks second quilts! I still have my twin size quilt her mother made for me ("Mamaw") out of squares from old draperies and clothing. It is one of my most prized possessions.
I needed to make a thank you note for Grandma, and out came the BG paper :) I am still battling this cold or whatever, so I needed some serious mojo. I found it here at dougnat diaries.
I'll be back tomorrow with a new card for Cuttlebug Challenges!

Beautiful card June. Great choice of papers for Grandma. Hope you feel better soon. :)x
Jeepers, talk about simply elegant!! That describes your beautiful card to a T!! I would so love to know how to quilt so I could pass something along that's THAT cool!! =)
I LOVE it!!! that flower is the perfect touch!!! :)
Granny chic is so big now, isn't it?!!
My ma-maw crocheted a baby quilt for Ian when he was born. By the time Lilly arrived, ma-maw had passed. So imagine my surprise when, at my baby shower, my mom presented me with this gorgeous, white, crocheted baby quilt for Lilly. Ma-maw made it before she died and gave it to mom to give me for my next baby.
There wasn't a dry eye in the place.
Totally Gorgeous card!!..I love these papers..(still waiting for mine)..The quilts are Beautiful!!...Hugs, Ila
This is a gorgeous card, and I know your grandmother will appreciate it. Beautiful quilts--she must be an amazing lady.
June, this is the perfect card! The papers are gorgeous and I love the pearls on the flower and the edge. She will cherish this card, just as you cherish her beautiful quilts! I hope you feel better soon! ♥♥ Kay
holy moly--clearly the creative talent is multi-discipline AND multi-generational in your family! AWESOME quilts, wow, what luckly little ladies julia and kathryn are!
gorgeous card, as well--definitely a vintage textile inspired vibe going on here with the textured velvetty flower and the lacy edge and those perfect pearl accents! LOVE THIS, june!!!
Wow, how wonderful for them to have a treasure like that! They (and you) are so fortunate to still have (great) grandparents. Enjoy every minute of them!
PS: I told Angela to put this BG pack back on the shelves before inventory time. Can you believe it? It's just not "me" paper. :)
