Be Inspired #97 - Book It

For this week's Cuttlebug Challenge I purchased a chipboard book from the dollar store. There were two holes in the chipboard and a rope binding it together...ugly, but it was only $1. I covered the book with SU papers and mod podge, added Chatterbox jumbo brads to the holes, and bound it with SU ribbon. The tag is also made from SU card stock and SU chocolate chip ink. The stamp "Imagine" is by Stampers Anonymous. My Cuttlebug embossing folder is Spots & Dots. The felt flowers are also SU and the mini brads are DCWV. Funny how a $1 book is covered in $5 worth of paper and embellies :)

OMG--amazing how you can take humble beginnings and turn it into an elegant piece of work. Great inspiration!

Wow, it's just beautiful. I love the word imagine on it. It is funny how something so inexpensive becomes quite expensive very quickly in our craft studios ;)

I think about that everytime I walk by dollar bins in the stores and how the heck they can get away with producing so cheaply...I know slave labor. I try not to go there ;( Have a wonderful week, fondly, Roberta

$1 book + $5 worth of SU = PRICELESS handmade gorgeousness!!!!!!!! seriously, ♥LOVE♥ it!

PS: at times like these i use my "i have two hobbies" defense: hobby 1 is buying art supplies; hobby 2 is makin' stuff...which is fun AND uses up a lot of the stuff acquired in hobby 1!!! :) :) :) no need to thank me, i am happy to help!!! :)
