My Great-Grandparents and great-great aunts & uncles

"I can see clearly now..." is our Cuttlebug theme this week...use acetate or acrylic on your card or project, add a little Cuttlebug love, and link it to Be Inspired #96. Welcome to week #2 of our new inspiration: Cuttle Your Pages Friday scrapbook layout. Our technique this week is to emboss a mat.

I inked up my Cuttlebug Script embossing folder with black ink, then embossed a scrap of paper. I layered the quote on top (top left corner.)

My acetate came from a 12x12 Roots by Creative Imaginations. I cut the 3x3 squares and placed one over my great-grandparents (on the far right in the picture) and the others spelling "ROOTS" across the bottom. These are all attached with mini brads by Making Memories.

The decorative papers are:
7 Gypsies Awning (stripe)
7 Gypsies Small Script
Design Originals Dictionary

The embossed mat and folder tab are from my scrap bag. I computer generated "My great-grandparents Fred & Alma Erno." I fussy cut to make the paper look like a folder tab.

I am so excited to be a part of Cuttle Your Pages Friday. I am finally starting on my own scrapbook album of ME and my heritage. As I mentioned last week, I am not going to be concerned with chronological order, but rather just getting pages made, one week at a time :) Will you cheer me on?

The photo is from the 1930s of my great-great Auntie Yvonne's wedding to Uncle Mac. Auntie Yvonne is my grandfather's (Raymond Albert Erno, Sr.) sister. Their other siblings are in the picture, yet my grandfather is not pictured...this was years before he married my grandmother (Jeannette Dumas), so she was not sure why he is not pictured either. Just in case you were wondering, my maiden name, Erno, was changed from Renaud. We pronounce it like this:
"yes erno?" LOL

This is brilliant, June. How great to have such an old family picture to scrapbook - love the names too - so your great-greats must have been French or Belgian maybe?

I LOVE this page. I haven't done much heritage scrapping--I don't have many pics to work with. Also, I think anything that would get me to finish one page each week would be a fabulous thing!

Very great idea. I think I need to make cards just like that. I love my grandparents and I am sure that they will be so much happy if they receive cards like that.
