What a wild ride this fall has been. My twin girls started middle school, and they both have had a difficult transition. This school is out in the country, and they have never had children with Autism as severe as my girls...especially Julia. Kathryn is doing well now but the academic work load is draining; we work with Kathryn at least 4 hours each night, and more on the weekends. Both girls are earning all A's and B's. Julia is still training her teachers ;)
I wish I earned frequent flyer miles for the number of times I have driven to the school so far this year, e.g. Julia needing a change of shoes, socks, and pants for jumping in mud puddles! And I have never been so far behind preparing for Christmas.
I don't even know if the middle school teachers appreciated my K-cup teacher gifts from Halloween, but I managed to pull these gifts together this afternoon. I filled each mini mason jar with five peppermint patties. I used my Cricut Imagine "Imagine More Cards" for the two circles. I used my Xyron to layer the circles and adhere them to the lids. I stamped the center of each circle with "North Pole...certified" from the Neat and Tangled "Santa's Notes" stamp set. Finally I printed out and punched the to/from tags and layered on Core'dinations "Glitter Silk" card stock. I used a little baker's twine on each tag and screwed the lid on over the ends of the twine.
I am entering this project at My Craft Spot for the "Wrap It Up!" challenge.
Happy Wednesday!

Kudos to you and your husband for being such devoted parents. I am sure the teachers appreciate these very thoughtful and charming gifts.
Another fantastic teacher present, June. Congrats to your girls (and you!) for making it through the first term of middle school - their grades are such an achievement. Fingers and toes crossed that next term will run smoother.

You, your husband and your girls = what a fabulous team you make; what loving family bonds you share! Your girls are learning exceptionally well; certainly facing and overcoming the 'middle school' challenges with success! I'm sure the teachers will be touched deeply by your gift, as I believe they are with your support, encouragement, involvement in and dedication to your daughters' education! You, June, are an amazing mom. Absolutely 1000000% amazing!!

Wow, what a great idea and SO thoughtful June! I am sure they will appreciate them :)
The middle school age is challenging and tough at times but it certainly sounds like you are doing everything you can to help the girls do well and achieve! Keep your chin up...I will say some prayers that things ease up and after Christmas break you have a smoother semester.
Hugs my friend!
Thanks so much for joining us in the challenge at My Craft Spot!

What a great warm way to say thank you to the teachers. I hope they appreciate it. and you're a fabulous mum, putting all your girl's needs first!
What fabulous gifts for the teachers! I'm sure they appreciated them (and I'll bet they liked their Halloween K-cups too)!
Transitions are always hard for kids - but especially those on the spectrum. Our youngest (11 years) has autism too, so I can absolutely relate to the multiple calls and trips to the school to help sort things out! Blessings to you doing it with two!
Happy New Year!
Thanks so much for playing along with us at My Craft Spot!

PS My name is Kathryn too - spelled just like your Kathryn. I don't see that spelling very often. :)
