Puttin' on the Glitz :)

Happy Halloween! Get your glitz on...

I have not played with glitter in years, but I don't know why I don't play more often; probably because I like instant gratification :) It is really pretty easy. I have two "rules" I follow:
  1. Choose an image with bold solid lines.
  2. Allow drying time between glitter colors.
Are you ready to shine? Link your creations here. Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a Cricut Designer's Calendar cartridge!

I love all the glitter on this card --so pretty and sparkly! You could use this technique on some of the Eerie papers...to cover up the skulls. lol

VERY cool about your *divine* sewing machine purchase! Can't wait to see what you do with it! ;)

I learned to sew in jr. high too, and sewed fairly regularly in my 20s. Then, about 30, life got really messy and I didn't have time to sew...unless I was making a quilted patchwork Christmas stocking for each new child. ;) I've since pulled my trusty old machine back out again --and I keep it out-- for my cards. (Seeing how much trouble my machine had working on thick fabrics, my sweet hubby surprised me about ten years ago by selling one of his treasured possessions in order to buy me a fancy machine that even does embroidery...just don't ask if I've ever attempted to learn how to use that program.... I do do regular sewing with it though --just not often enough-- and hope that maybe "someday" I'll find the time to learn machine embroidery. *sigh* However, since it wasn't something I ever asked for, I don't feel too terribly guilty for not using that feature. lol)

Anyway...sorry for the LONG comment, but I thought you wouldn't mind too much if I shared my sewing machine story with you. ;)

big hugs,
Christi
