I will try to post craft projects whenever possible...I do have a treat for you tomorrow! I hope you will bear with me and understand why I will not be able to craft or blog much for the next 3 weeks or so. If you come by my house, I may put you to work. If all goes well, I hope to be organizing my new craft room over MLK weekend. Any volunteers?

We are moving...sort of...
Doug and I have spent the past couple of weeks purging closets. Beginning this Friday we are having our wall-to-wall carpeting removed on all three floors. It is so badly worn and stained from our children that it will not get clean any longer. The entire upstairs (bedrooms) and basement will have pergo (medium oak) hardwood laminate. The main floor (kitchen, foyer, living room, and dining room) and both staircases will be hard wood (medium oak). By Friday I have to have everything off of the walls and furniture moved out of the upstairs, including closets. When that is finished I have to move everything out of the basement, including closets. When all the pergo is in, I have to pack up the main floor (china cabinet...ugh) the workers will begin installing the hard woods on the main floor and we will have to move out of the house for 4 days! I am excited about these big changes. I am also moving my craft room from the small upstairs bedroom to a larger room in the basement. Right now my living room and dining room is full of crafty stuff...it is kind of embarrassing how much there is...the first step is to admit I have a problem, right? :)

We'll be happy to be the cheerleaders for your project. Sounds like your home will be magnificent when all the work is completed. Good luck!
I'm tired just reading about it, June!! Best of luck with all the packing and sorting, it will all be worth it when you have those beautiful floors done.

June, I'd love to help! Small issue with distance...cash to get there....i don't own a passport (wt? i know!). But it's the thought right??!! I don't envy you though. I'm still traumatized by our move and that is coming up to 12 months ago!! LOL. Good luck with it all!
I'm with Madonna (never thought I'd have an opportunity to say that LOL LOL), I would help you in a heartbeat, no passport issue, but $$$ are lacking haha
I am still mentally recovering from our move back in August, a downsizing that saw us go from 3600 square feet to 1030 square feet, after 4 years in the bigger house!! Oh all the STUFF we've had to get rid of!! However, how proud of me are you that I've gotten rid of no scrapping/carding stuff LOL!!!!
I loooooove wood floors! Not sure I'd move out to get them, though! Can't wait to see them!
WoW...what a project. It will be worth it. I know you will love your new floors. We have some hardwood and my hubby's office with laminate and we love both!
ok, i'd TOTALLY volunteer...but i fear that MY part of the organizing would mainly consist of PLAYING WITH each item that's going into or coming out of said craftroom! if this would be of any help just SHOUT ok, cause i think i'd be GREAT at that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) (good luck, missus! what a HUGE job!!!) ♥
WOW...you go girl...can't believe how much energy you have! You make me tired just thinking about all that packing and moving...lol BUT it will all be worth it in the end...be sure to post pictures and can't wait to see your craft room ;)
Oh June, I can sympathize with you first hand. My DH installed a wood floor in our living/dining room area and finished on Dec 20th...just in time to put up my tree and decorate it for Christmas. The china closet is still empty and I am not sure how many of the 10 large cartons I filled are going to be emptied back into it :o)
We now only have two guest bedrooms with wall to wall...the rest of the house is either tile or wood floor.
