Sweet Talk

I still have PLENTY of love/Valentine's Day doodads strewn all over my work space. I picked up the glitter chipboard heart and thought, "Reds are so hard to match." I dug through all my scrap dps and found this polka dot dp. A very nice match! Now to match the polka dots...I found this nice tan in my ziploc bag of brown Bazzill scraps.
I usually like three colors on my cards so I needed to find a third color. I could not find another red or brown in my stash that went well. I noticed this "sweet talk" heart also had the same red, so white become my third color. Then I went to my DCWV box and pulled a white card and embossed it with the Fiskars plate.
Now I have one small rectangle left of this dp and two more red glitter chipboard doodads. I gotta find a way to put them on one card. Do you do that? When I find a match for something that is difficult to match, I try to use it all up right then and there (mostly so I don't forget!)

i SHOULD do that... (for EXACTLY the same to reason; short-term memory *IS* the first to go!) ...i often *intend* to do that...when i made cards to sell i DID do it...but now i have a short attention span and crave excitement at all times. (so i have the biggest scrap file in NJ!!!) (& proud of it, maaaannnn!)

YOU...on the other hand...are a MARVEL of efficiency AND creativity!!! ♥♥♥

Great suggestion! I usually gather up the scraps and shove in my scrap drawer never to be seen again (reason I had to create a second scrap drawer!)lol

Great job;lovin' the texture folders!..............deanna

Lovely card!
I wish I knew how to organise scraps. I have drawers full of them as I can't bear to throw things away, but one of these days I'll have to do something drastic or I won't fit into my craft room!
