My Pink Stamper- January challenge: Be My Valentine!

I am so elated when I create a card using my scraps.  I eked this card out from bits of old KI Memories papers that I have already created several cards from over the past few years.  I think I am ready to toss the little bits that are left in the trash can...almost ;)

My card was inspired by this month's My Pink Stamper challenge:

Be My Valentine!
Make something for Valentine's Day.  It can be a card, scrapbook page, home decor, a treat or mini album...anything goes!

I found this winged heart on my Cricut "Winter Frolic" cartridge.  The cut is actually a border that I cut apart and layered one atop the other with foam tape for added dimension.  I embossed the wings with my Provo Craft "D'Vine Swirls" Cuttlebug embossing folder.  I doodled a heart and stamped the "XO" inside the heart.  I also stamped "hugs & kisses" at the bottom.   Both of these stamps are from one of my favorite My Pink Stamper stamp sets, "From the Heart":

For more valentine inspiration, hop over to My Pink Stamper.  I'm on my way over there right now :)

I love Valentine cards and this one of yours says it all... "hugs & kisses"... love it, June. The papers are so pretty... a great combination with the grey.
I haven't been able to get around much and leave comments, but I wanted to let you know that I finally got to purge my craft room and am so happy with the results... all do to you, dear girl!!! (post 1/20/12)
HUGS!!!

You rocked this one too!!! I'm so glad that you explain how you create some of the stuff you do, such as the winged heart. You cut it apart and layered it, and whammo, there's a whole new way of looking at it!
