Two Awards & Basic Grey Scrappy Cupcake Cards

I received two more awards from sweet Kristie.

This first award is the Marie Antoinette award. This one came with rules and they are- Link the one who awarded it to you (see above), post the award and nominate 7 people who deserve it.

The second award is the Your Blog is Fabulous! award. For this one I'm supposed to nominate 5 bloggers and tell you five things to which I am addicted.

To borrow from lovely blog friend Lauren:
1. If you 're reading this, you are deserving of these awards. Consider yourself NOMINATED.
2. If you 're reading this, and you don't want to be nominated...YOU'RE EXCUSED!...but...
3. If you're NOT READING THIS...you're disqualified! (I am sorry, but I am afraid I cannot make ANY exceptions on point three! But if you choose #1, leave me a link, I'd love to hear YOUR addictions!)

My addictions...dh & our girls, chocolate, paper (Bazzill, Basic Grey and Cosmo Cricket are my top faves), Indian food, and my body pillow.

My friend, Vicky came over for a playdate on Saturday afternoon. She wanted to make cupcake cards with her new giant cupcake SU stamp. I love being with Vicky, but I was a zombie. Saturday mornings we take the girls for their special needs swim classes. We spend 45 minutes in the water doing all kinds of fun activities to get the girls used to the water. But every Saturday when Doug and I come home and we are totally wiped out.

For these cards I pulled out my BG "Oh, Baby Boy!" dps. I drew the "wrapper", cut it out, and distressed with black ink. Then I pulled out my blue Bazzill scraps bag and drew the "icing", cut, distressed, and dry embossed in my Cuttlebug folder. I cut the numbers dp (also BG Oh, Baby Boy!), distressed, and mounted on a DCWV card. Then I was stuck...too tired to think. I decided to pull out my big bag of rub-ons. I used up all my birthday rub-ons by TLC, and added "Party Time!" rub-ons from American Crafts. And one more..."Wish" is a Making Memories rub-on.

I think they are cute, but certainly not my best. I LOVE Basic Grey!

oooooooooooh! well i LOVE these and i especially loooooove the embossed cuppycake icing! yet again, you have ignited "cuttlebug fever"...i haz papercraft lust in my heart...♥♥♥

(ps: not that you need my help/suggestions...but...in the interests of "two utterly cheeky cents in"...i think you might like these less than other cuppycakes b/c there's less contrast betw. cake & background...for which i would *oultine* the cakes with a thin black pen...but then...i am an OUTLINE ADDICT as we know...and they do ALREADY look *FAB*!)

pss: niiiiiiiiiiice tag directions!!! :) :) :)

psss: i am SO GLAD you asked about the sunburst card...i've had an epiphany about that...& updated said post as a result! THANKS MA'AM!
