Shape Up! Wine Bottle Card

I purchased these wine bottle die cuts (by Accu-Cut) from the mecca of all stamp stores, The Enchanted Cottage. I painted the chipboard with metallic olive green Lumiere paint. I stamped on parchment paper (for the "wine label") with a Stampington & Co. stamp. I colored the image with colored pencils, then mounted on gold metallic paper. I used gold leaf for the foil at the neck, and cork for the cork :) For the inside I cut a 4.5" x 12"and scored at 3" intervals using my Scor-Pal. Then I used walnut ink to distress the paper. I stamped the "Cheers" but the "to you" , small starbursts, and grape-like flourishes are all BasicGrey Marrakech rub-ons.

Go to Caardvarks to see lots of great cards that are anything but a square or a rectangle. Fun stuff!!!

This rocks ... I love how you did the card on the inside and the gold foil is the perfect touch. I how wonderful would this be to give with a bottle of wine for a hostess gift ... or maybe just an invite to a girlfriend to come sit on the deck and enjoy a bottle of wine ... I'm available :^) ... love it.

I hope that you're still watching this blog as it's been a year since you posted this wine bottle card. I've been looking for inspiration on how to use the new Creative expressions vintage wine stamp set and I have found it. Thanks so much for the detail about how you made the card - very much so appreciated as just a picture doesn't always help me as I'm a fairly newbie crafter.

keep up the good work
